Rabbit Class

Welcome to Rabbit Class with Miss Riddell & Mrs Parker (Teachers)

Mrs Masih & Mrs Hussain (TA)

Just like the amazing children in Rabbit Class, Rabbits are amazing animals!

Were you aware of these fascinating rabbit-related facts?

Rabbits have an excellent sense of smell, hearing and vision. They have nearly 360° panoramic vision, allowing them to detect predators from all directions. They can see everything behind them and only have a small blind-spot in front of their noses.

Rabbits have extremely strong hind limbs which allow them to leap great distances. They can jump up to one metre high and three metres long.

The rabbit is one of the 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. It represents graciousness, kindness, sensitivity, compassion, tenderness and elegance. The last Chinese Year of the Rabbit was in 2023, and the next one will be in 2035.

So as you can see there’s more to Rabbits than meets the eye!

The emphasis in Rabbit Class is on instilling a love of learning in a fun and exciting way. To get us thinking outside the ‘hutch’ we have some fantastic topics to help us learn this year.

We will be ‘Stepping Back in Time’ to find out about the past in the Autumn Term, wondering ‘Down to the Bottom of the Garden’ to find out about plants and mini-beasts in the Spring term and travelling around the world as ‘Extraordinary Explorers’ in the Summer Term. We are going to be so busy!

It’s going to be a ‘thumping’ year in Rabbit Class, so let’s get started! If you want to find out more or have any questions please come and see us, we are always happy to help.
