Bug Club/Active Learning
We are pleased to let you know that when you log into ‘Bug Club’ you may see other home learning resources in your child’s home library.
We currently use 'Active Learn' to access our online reading program 'Bug Club' which we know you are familiar with using at home. During the present home learning situation Active Learn have also provided us with access to a number of their other online learning platforms.
When you next log into Active Learn (Bug Club) to see the books your child has been allocated in their Library, you may also see other activities that have been allocated to them. Please follow the instructions and complete them as you would their online reading.
Online Free Chess Classes
Our school has been running a chess club provided by 'Chess in schools' in which many of our children in Year 2 have been enjoying on a weekly basis.
They are now offering an online chess club for children to join. This is a great way for children to learn and develop a new skill.

BBC BITESIZE Home Learning School online
Every Monday from the 20th April at 9am BBC Bitesize will be providing access to regular daily lessons in English and Maths, as well as other core subjects, in an expanded version of their website.
BBC Teach is also available to find resources by subject and age group.
Edinburgh Zoo Live
Visit the Edinburgh Zoo website to learn about the different animals that live there. They also have a special live webcam stream of Tigers, Penguins, Koalas and Pandas!
Messy Hands has a selection of easy recipes and cooking videos to try with your children.
Scholastic's free Learn at Home program includes 20 days' worth of curricula to help students continue learning even when school is closed. The daily lessons for pre-K through grade 6-plus include four separate learning experiences, built around a story or video. Kids can do them on their own or with their families. The lessons last up to three hours, and can be completed on any device.

Teachers Pet is a great website offers lots of free printables for download across a wide range of subjects. New Home Learning packs are uploaded every Friday for free during the school closure period.
The TTS group is currently offering parents to download a variety of Home Activity Packs for free. It includes activities from all curriculum areas.
